How Kora describes directory trust signals.
Kora uses layered public-safe labels so listed, claimed, source-backed, board-verified, and Kora-verified profiles are not confused with one another.
This page describes Kora’s current MVP operating model and may be updated as Kora expands. Kora will continue to review country-specific legal, privacy, and healthcare obligations with qualified counsel as launch markets are finalized.
Source-backed
A source-backed profile includes public-safe source context such as registry, institutional, or provider-submitted records that Kora can display without exposing private evidence.
Board verified
Board verification is shown only where Kora has public-safe evidence from a relevant medical board, council, registry, or similar authority.
Kora reviewed
Kora reviewed means Kora’s workflow has reviewed selected public or submitted profile signals. It does not guarantee clinical quality or patient outcomes.
Kora Verified
Kora Verified is reserved for profiles where Kora has sufficient public-safe verification evidence under its current methodology. Claiming a profile does not automatically create this status.
Claimed and bookable
Claimed means a provider or authorized representative has requested or obtained ownership of a profile. Bookable means online booking is enabled for the practice. Neither label automatically means verified.
Future KMN
Kora may introduce a Kora Medical Number or similar credential in the future. Until that system is live, it should be treated as planned infrastructure, not a public verification guarantee.
Corrections
Patients, providers, and institutions can report corrections so Kora can review public profile details and trust labels.
